Barebone PC
How useful is a Barebone pc
A Barebone pc is ideal for someone who loves to play games on his computer. The components of this type of PC are suitable for every gaming need. What has been more remarkable about this computer is not just its compatibility for gaming purpose, but it allows users to customize the PC according to the requirements. However, users should know what exactly a Barebone pc is before they start using it.
Definition
It can be defined as a semi assembled computer kit, which can be added with more computer components and assembled according to how a user wants it to be. One of the most striking features of Barebone PC is its space for customization and that what makes it one of the most sought after computers in the gaming world. The kit comes only with a motherboard and a suitable power supply, and thus, it allows a gamer to add components such as a hard drive, a processor of his choice and even a RAM to get the desired speed.

The arrival of games eventually uplifted the technology. There were more changes in the gaming sector, the technology improved, and manufacturers of computer components came up with new means to deliver advanced processors and high quality computer parts to enhance gaming experience. The usual computer processor was never apt for games, and therefore, manufacturers decided to come up with advanced processors such as Athlon II, and Phenom ll.
The AMD DDR2 Barebone in particular was in sharp contrast to other earlier models available in the market. To Build Barebone was never that easy earlier, but the additional customization option available with AMD DDR2 Barebones completely overhauled the gaming technology.
A customer while buying a Barebone will get an additional memory support. He can add a highly powered Intel based processor, or an AMD processor. A buyer can also add video and a TV tuner card of his choice. He can choose a sound and a controller card for his Barebone. To Build Barebone, one has to purchase an optical drive and a media card reader separately, along with the operating system. A hard drive fan is also an essential computer part.
Is it worth assembling Barebone or buy a fully customised brand
A buyer should look at his or her budget before deciding on what he or she should opt for. There are firms that sell fully customised Barebone solutions under a single roof. Though, it may cost a little higher, but a customised solution has a better finish, rather a partially assembled one. A person who has the requisite knowledge of assembling computer parts on his own will find it much cheaper to buy a partially assembled Barebone, and then assemble the whole structure in his backyard. That way it works much cheaper.
However, a Barebone buyer should remember that Barebones are much smaller, and there is just enough room to install additional parts. At times, it becomes difficult to install additional component inside a cramped Barebone case. Therefore, buying a customised Barebone is always a good option.

I always prefer assembling my own PC. That way, I can choose the components that I prefer as well as monitor my budget. However, over the years, there are not much difference in terms of hardware quality and most of them seem to be made by the same manufacturer, just different brands.
Also, it is sometimes cheaper getting a branded PC with similar performance if you assemble one yourself.
